Exxell on the move

Leading specialist rail and engineering recruitment company Exxell has announced the opening of its new Southampton branch and the appointment of a new member of staff.

The new branch, which specialises in the rail sector, has opened in Upper Market Street in Eastleigh near Southampton to support the onset of some new, recently-awarded contracts, and the company’s ongoing strategy for growth. Newly-appointed Richard Parker, 26, who has worked in the safety critical track sector for over 8 years, has been brought in to work alongside Rail Safety Critical Manager Richard Anderson to help support Exxell’s clients’ increasing requirements.

The rail division provides staffing solutions across the signaling, permanent-way, rolling stock, OHLE, construction, mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines.
 
Exxell Director Nigel Rees said of the move: “Moving to Southampton is an operational decision. It gives the company more scope to expand in the future and has allowed us to recruit an additional member of staff. Richard Parker, who is local to the Portsmouth area, started his career with Network Rail and has worked within the sector since that time, so knows the industry inside out. I am confident that both he and Richard Anderson can work together to ensure the success of the Southampton branch.

Exxell’s Head Office is located in Centrepoint, in the centre of London.
