Exxell puts its faith in love and Facebook
Love is the way forward for engineering recruitment specialist Exxell. The company took the opportunity presented by St Valentine’s Day to launch the group’s new Facebook pages, which have been developed and rebranded as ‘Love earning’.
The changes have been made to attract more job seekers to Exxell’s pages on the world’s biggest social networking website. Candidates already registered with Exxell were sent an e-Valentine card to tell them about the important changes.
The group’s Facebook pages are now set up containing jobs and other news, while the ‘information’ section contains useful background on the company. There’s also an introduction to the group in the ‘welcome’ section and in addition to this, each page will carry a short poll, such as “are you happy at work?”, with new polls being added regularly.
Once a visitor has shown their approval by ‘liking’ the page they can access all areas without the need to become a Facebook ‘friend’.
The move is just the latest development in the world of on-line social media, which Exxell has been using effectively to build its relationships with job seekers and employers for some time.
Group Marketing & Communications Director Dan Langford, said: “We have been using social media platforms such as Facebook for some time as just one of the ways we tell our candidates quickly and efficiently about the wealth of employment opportunities we have available to them. Having learned how to harness this new platform we’ve now developed it to maximise its potential..
“The e-Valentines cards were a great way to spread the word and we’ve encouraged candidates to send them on to their friends and family so we can engage and help more and more people.
